Red Wing Boots

Gille Leenknegt races vintage Triumphs: a 1966 TR6 across Baja in the NORRA Mexican 1000, and a 1968 TR6R at the Red Bull Day in the Dirt Grand Prix in California. His love for old bikes started riding with friends in the hills above Mijas, so that’s where we took the shoot for Red Wing.

The idea was a film that feels like a ride, not a catalogue: the engine, the dust and the company, with the bikes and the boots earning their place in real riding rather than posing for the camera.

Keeping up with a bike on tight mountain roads means the camera has to move like a rider. I chased with FPV for speed and proximity, flew the DJI Mavic 4 Pro for the scale of the hills, mounted a GoPro HERO13 for Gille’s point of view, and shot the details and portraits on the Sony FX3.
